Was thinking of giving the Samsung a try but the only thing is I have a lot of numbers, photos saved to the cloud. I also have some tickets in the iphone wallet app. Are all of these easy to shift over?

Shift some of the porn onto an external hard drive or somewhere other than your phone

Would defeat the purpose of it being so readily available then Wink

I'm starting a new job and will be getting a work phone - my choice of phone.

I've an iphone already so will definitely be looking to go with something different.

I was thinking of the OnePlus 3 or Samsung. Any recommendations?

Yes they actually give you a lead and instructions on how to move your stuff over. Would never go apple again.

Do you have choice of any phone or is there a limit what you can spend?

S9 is just out, that's what I'd be buying if I had free rein.

Due a freebie upgrade as my current deal is up.

Have an iphone6 at the moment and I'm thinking about either getting another one or the samsung s7. Any opinions?

Have an s7 at the minute and couldn't be happier with it. It's 2 years old and battery life is still good when fully charged (especially when use official Samsung charger and not the cheap 1s from dealz)

Locked in with Apple due to other gadgets but love how user friendly they are. Switched both of my folks over to iPhones last year and havent looked back - both were always moaning about their samsungs and constantly fcuking it up etc.

But the camera on some of the samsung phones makes the iphone look like something from 10 years ago. No comparison.

Used the S9 at the weekend for a half hour and the camera is unreal. They must have spent all the time on that as there doesn't seem much else different from the S8.

Genuine curiosity here but surely phones are like toothbrushes in that they can't really get any better but they will try and tell you they have anyway. Apart from being a phone and having the internet in your pocket, what more could you actually want from the f**king thing? Does the S9 have a 'blowjob of a lifetime' function or something?

Yeah it's a fair point, can't see much more that the makers can do with phones now other than novelty features.

There are options other than apple and samsung, I've been using Huawei P9 for the past 16 months and find it just as good as a Samsung Galaxy S7.
time is the stuff that life is made of, don't waste it.

The only major upgrade going forward will be battery life.
Someday they will sort it out.

That is the last major thing they need to sort out imo. Get a battery that can last 3/4 days and it would be a huge improvement. Not sure the manufacturers are that pushed though.

They could start working on battery optimization, seemingly that would make a big difference on Samsung phones.
