As it's a friendly I'd change it slightly

Henderson
(The 5ft.5 Ice cream cone that was stolen outside a shop last week, €100 reward) Dunne,  McShane, Finnan
Ireland, S Reid, Carsley A. Reid
Doyle Keane

Subs to get a good run out Hunt, McGeady, Keogh

Tough one to call. Do you give the likes of Andy Reid, Stephen Reid and McGeady a chance or do you try play the starting 11 you hope you have for the competitve games coming up? Last games (for the real team) were back in March so could be worthwhile playing what you hope to have available.
I'd go for
                                              Given
    Joey O'Brien          mcshane       dunne             Finnan
    Ireland                    Carlsey       Kilbane           Hunt
                                    Doyle        Keane

But defo give both Reids, Long and Keogh a good run out aswell.
Then hopefully Stephen Reid or Joey O Brien could slot into midfield for Slovakia game when we need to be more attack minded and Zinedine for the Czech game when we play for the draw!

I'd reckon that Andy Reid will have fallen down the pecking order unless he gets himself super-fit pre-season and stars for Charlton (remember Stan prefers them playing Prem football).  Joey would have alot to do as well to make an impression, I reckon he might include them in the squad and give them a sub run.  My guess is he'll want to be as close as he can be to the last EQ game (1-0 v Slovak), so if that proves to be, it'd be Given, O'Shea, Dunne, McShane, Finnan; Ireland, Carso, ZZ, McGeady; Doyle, Robbie.  Hunt could scrape past McGeady but plenty of 2nd half subs to be made in Aarhus.  All depends on injuries too.  Hopefully Stephen Reid gets back fit too.

I see Steve Reid as the central midfielder for years to come but he just hasn't done it yet for Ireland in the centre..so a friendly run out is exactly what he needs, if he has an excellent game at least Stan knows he can rely on him?

Why play Carsley and Kilbane we know what they can do..I'd only have Kilbane as a sub

Kilbane will defo start I reckon and fair enough that he does as Hunt and Ireland are only new into the squad and they need an oul head beside them in the middle. As I stated before, Reid is only back from injury and should be given a run but cant see stan starting him

Reid and Ireland provide us with a very promising central pairing in the future. The quicker Steven gets back the better. If he plays the first few games for Blackburn and and does well in Denmark then he should start with Ireland in September. However Carsley gives us decent cover if needed. I also think Long, Stokes and maybe Murphy should be given a chance against the Danes

Count, Kilbane nt be considered a starter in any Ireland game friendly or other. I love his attitude but he just doesn't cut it a this level.
