Just read there that Reid is back playing. He would want to have lost some wait if he wants to be in Stans squad for any of the games coming up but its another option for the left hand side. Would still go with Hunt meself but then again Stan might play Carlsy or Kilbane there for some random reason instead! My vote is for Hunt the moaney git!

McGeady has most potential I think but needs to start showing it soon.

Sheeds if the others get injured.  I'd imagine he'll play Zinedine there as it's likely we'll have good cover in centre mid, reckon KK's experience would shade it ahead of Hunty and McGeady's yet to convince in an Irish shirt.  All ifs and buts till we see the panel.  My own preference would be the quiet man Hunt.

can see staunton playing Kilbane in the slovakia game whereas he should play hunt and go for the win and then play the negative approach maybe against the czechs and hope to grind out a win or a draw.

I'd go for Hunty myself. A bt of pace is what Ireland have been lacking on the wing and he makes them more aggressive and attack minded. I know hes only starting out but reminds me of duff a few years ago bringing a bit of much needed exitement back to the fans by running and taking on the opposing players. McGeady is unproven in an Ireland shirt so wouldnt start him. Kevin Sheedy is too fat and Andy Reid is even fatter so Hunt all the way.

It's great that there is such good competition for the one position...I think Hunt should get it on the basis off his previous performances-thats how teams should be picked.

Personally if all three were in form I'd plump for Andy Reid every time he scores, can play the killer pass and takes and scores free kicks...I'd have Reid in the centre or just behind the two attackers. Our best midfielder when fit-even with his man boobs

don't know about hunt and previous appearances.
He came on against Wales and did well, but was a fresh horse beating tired legs at that stage.
Same against Slovakia - wud be interesting to see if he could sustain that for the full 90 minutes
