Fratton Park after it was revealed none of the trio turned up for the FA Cup winners' parade through the city on Sunday. Former Tottenham and Fulham midfielder Davis and ex-Arsenal full-back Lauren were both left out of Pompey's 16-man squad at Wembley, despite featuring regularly in previous rounds, and each have only a year left on their contracts. Baros, who started the semi-final win over West Bromwich Albion last month and came on against Cardiff in the final as an 87th-minute substitute for goal-hero Kanu, is on loan from French champions Lyon. Pompey have an option to buy the Czech Republic star who is set to spearhead his country's attack in the Euro 2008 finals this summer but he has not scored in 16 appearances - seven as a sub - for Harry Redknapp's team. And Portsmouth chief executive Peter Storrie admitted: "We also need to look at the future of other players and see where we go, but Davis and Lauren are some of the ones I will also discuss with the manager next week. "The problem is that until players say whether they want to stay or go you can't totally judge how many to bring in. "We look at those type of things first and then we start work on the players we will bring in." Kanu, who is entitled to a further year's extension of his contract after making more than 20 appearances this season, has yet to put pen to paper. Storrie said: "He's had the papers, it is completely up to him whether he signs." Kanu, 31, has verbally pledged his immediate future to Pompey but must be aware the club are keen to recruit Peter Crouch from Liverpool - despite the Anfield club's £15 million valuation of the England striker - and pair him with £7million signing Jermain Defoe next term. Meanwhile Storrie and Redknapp are due to sit down with assistant manager Tony Adams next week after the former Arsenal defender indicated he would be prepared to sign a new deal as number two for next season. His current contract is due to expire next month. |
