Currently have the worst flu I have had in 20 yrs I'd say.  Awful dose.  Have hardly slept the past 5 nights. I'd nearly think of getting the flu jab next year.  Cry

Started taking vitamin and iron supplements a few years ago and haven't had a flu or cold of note in that time. On occasion when working mad hours where a lack of sleep is an issue, I can feel the onset of a cold starting. I overdose on the supplements then and it fecks off once I get a good sleep.

I usually take a load of vitamin c and its gone after a day or two and good rest.  Dunno if the flu is getting more virulent though as been bolloxed since late Sunday night even dosing with vitamins, food and paracetemol.

These women are getting off lightly with pregnancy.  They don't know the meaning of suffering.

Dying with a bad dose since Monday. Literally couldn't get out of bed from 8pm Monday to 3pm Wed. 4 days in now and I am in so much pain Dead.

It's been so bad that my body has reacted to it by forcing me to vomit a lot - but not all the time.

The mental torture at night is the worst.

Wasn't a flu after all. It was bacterial infection in my lungs. Absolutely floored me. 8 days in bed and got some steroids yesterday and feel a new man already.

bacterial infections are a **** and dangerous too if not caught in time.  Had one in September and you know they are serious as you get bumped up in a&e if you have to go in with.  That was in limerick too.  Once dealt with they can blow ever quickly.
