 Topic: Bizarre old FA Cup Final Ritual

Was flicking thru me stations yesterday (not a sponger dodgy box job) and I have Liverpool TV as part of the Setanta package that I PAY for........anyhow.........they were showing the 1974 FA Cup Final when they beat Newcastle 3-0 and when Big Em and the team came down the Wembley steps with the Cup and the medals and met with the defeated Toon on the pitch, the fckn band starts playing God Save the Queen and everyone just stops in their tracks amid the celebrations!!! It was mad! And the players interviewed then drinking bottles of milk!! I remember the milk alright, but not the God Save the Queen..........different era for sure.
