Spoke to Alan McLoughlin this afternoon.
Absolutely brilliant fella. Fantastic stories about his days with YBIG. His message, for now, for all on here: "You made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck from Dublin to Lithuania to New York to Italy. You gave me the greatest days and nights of my life. He's responsible for alot of roofs being lifted off pubs that night in November 1993. Worked with an English girl who came to the pub that night. No interest in football whatsoever and was standing in a position where she couldnt see the television. When McLoughlin scored the roar in the pub literally lifted her out of her skin. She had to leave and go home with the shock and trauma.

was fairly young that night he scored against the north,can remember i had that opel jersey and to this day i still reckon the jersey i had was cursed.had the jersey on when norn iron took the lead,soon after threw the jersey off and then of course alan scored,never did wear that jersey again
