Just seen this here on the teamtalk.com website:

Lawrence keen for Ireland call-up

Stoke midfielder Liam Lawrence has admitted he is "gutted" at missing out on a call-up to the Republic of Ireland side this season.

Lawrence: Superb form this term

Lawrence has enjoyed a good run of form this term, making 28 appearances and scoring an impressive nine goals in all competitions.

But the former Sunderland winger is disappointed at not being able to break back onto the international scene, having earned his first call-up in February 2006.

He told The Sentinel: "I'm gutted I've been left out. I think I've been playing well enough to get in, especially this season goal-wise and assist-wise.

"I've not heard anything about being watched and it is disappointing. I just wish I could break back in."

Couldn't do any harm to call him up for Serbia and see what he can do.

He is playing well for Stoke, scored again the weekend I think and they are threatening to go up so def worth a chance in the squad at least?

Portugal away in March was the latest I heard,This was a defenent runner if el tel got the job but seemingly Trappers wants them to play this game aswell even though he wont be present,I rang the FAI about this potential match and they said it would be confirmed later this week if it goes ahead.
