The wording of the MFA statement I thought was strange, basically implying that Fridays game was the sole cause.

Facility’s getting worse in the country & nothing being done.

The pitch was cutting up very bad back in Feb when we played them to the point where warm ups had to take place off the pitch. Add in another two months of rain and multiple games per week and this is what you get. MFA are a disgrace

There has been very little local club games played in Turners Cross this season.

The narrative that this is to blame is a joke.

How it passed a pitch inspection Friday is amazing

I understand the MFA requested the game to be called off multiple times on Friday, right up to kick off and even again at half time. The pitch failed the MFA inspection.

So why then blame the MFA and local clubs surely the largest portion of the blame must be with LOI and Cork City.

No not at all. The MFA control the pitch and there were issues with the pitch long before Friday. When Ramblers played there at the start of the season, the goalmouths were more sand than grass.

The great Frank 'Sniffer' O'Neill passed away yesterday morning after a long struggle with illness. Cry

Arguably Cobh Ramblers greatest ever player. In fact there is no argument, he is the clubs greatest ever and by some distance too. Clap

Was lucky to have known him and called him a friend. RIP Legend
