I can´t offer much help regard. the town of the match-venue, but any of you´s are coming through Vienna, or need help getting something sorted out here, I am of course willing to help again if needed, feel free to contact me !


Charlie P´s has changed a bit, its now partly non-smoking and includes a new dining-room section which serves mouthwatering food, but the bar is still there, so is the beer and so is hopefully the craic ...

To all supporters travelling to Slovakia for the Republic of Ireland fixture on the 12th of October: 
 
I take this opportunity to express our gratitude to you for once again travelling to support our team as they progress to qualify for the European Championship 2012.
 
We are disappointed at the late decision of the Slovakian FA to change the venue for this fixture and recognise that this may cause you some logistical problems before and after the game if you are not staying in Zilnia.
 
Please be aware that subject to availability, we are currently sourcing transport from Bratislava to the stadium in Zilina, and return transfers back to Bratislava after the game. 
 
If you require the service of transport from Bratislava to Zilina return, please contact me before Friday 1st October and we can then firm up on arrangements.

So lets get planning lads - Zilina on the day of the match - where is everyone going? Hopefully we can all agree on somewhere and get a load of people together and the craic will be great! The main square has been mentioned alot and seems like a good bet!?

Anyone know how far the airport is out from bratislava city centre, Hoping to catch a train upto zilina at 17.15 and we arrive into brat at 16.30 on the monday afternoon, would we be cutting it tight?

The airport is 6 miles from the main train station.

be you i would rather take a taxi.  Bus number 61 goes to train station, it takes about 30 minutes plus you will be traveling in rush hour.

be careful taxi drivers in Bratislava are greedy counts. they will try rip you off.
