RTÉ Sport's commitment to the eircom League of Ireland will dramatically increase. From next season (March 2008), RTÉ Television will broadcast a weekly one-hour highlights programme featuring reports and analysis of that week's action in the eircom League.
RTÉ Television's coverage of live eircom League of Ireland matches will also grow over the term of the contract, culminating with 33 live matches (one-per-week) in the final year of the term - the 2013 season

The sequence now is, should he miss this, and Ireland's next penalty is scored, then the match and the progress are Ireland's....Timofte against Bonner..

Great news, its about time. A good hour long highlights programme has been badly needed, hopefully it will be at a descent time, say sunday evening or something, not like tv3's 11.30 monday night.

Hip hip horray, the death knell of TV3's Eircom League weekly, it was absolute pure unadulterated sh*te. RTE will do it right that's for sure.
