I may be wrong here but is johnny evans not a Norn Irish defender and not an Irish defender as the papers/radio are saying.

It's the old story, do something negative and you're Irish, win something like a Darren Clarke (I know he hasn't won in a while) or an Alex Higgins or other Ulster men in the past (a racing driver whose name escapes me) and you're British.........

Watson yer probably of, he was doing very well once in the monaco grand prix and of course he was british until he ran out of petrol on last lap(in that tunnel too i think) and of course he was suddenly irish
