One last quick point before I hit the hay.......

I very much hope we Irish fans will NEVER go down the road of alot of the English club fans did today, ie, booing the English players who lost against Croatia, I thought that was absolutely dreadful.  And it was fckn brainless too, cos the Toon fans spurred Stevie G onto the best display I've seen from him in years.  Wright-Phillips scored after getting booed at Derby (Lamps and Terry and Cashley (even though Cashley didn't play Wed) all got it), Carson kept a clean sheet despite Boro abuse and Barry made the 1st Villa goal for Carew.

But I would hope we would never go down that road.  Fckwitts the lot of them.

Booing is the least Cashley Cole should get wherever he goes. I dont think i've ever despised a man as much as i do that c**t.

Dont understand it all. Paul Robinson got a fair bit of abuse today at west ham. very harsh imo, theres no way he'd have conceded that first crotaia goal the other night.

they're a disgrace, they can't be let out because they'll just embaress themselves. It's no wonder they actually sometimes refer to football hooliganism as the English Disease.
Booing their own players after a good performence isn't actually that bad when you hold it against their other 'experiences', i.e nearly being sent home from the World Cup for acting the bollocks, and going straight t smashy-smashy mode whenever they lose a game of football.

I seem to remember the Irish team getting booed at Croker at Cyprus game!!

Personally i think they were well within there right to boo the players. A s said about Stevie G when he scored that cracker against Newcastle "pity he cant do it in an England shirt". It seems players these days prefer club football rather than International - you can pick your club but not your country.

Over-rated,Over-paid bunch of cry babies. No coincidence Ireland had the same problem as England (underachieving) during this campaign as they all play in the premiership.

Yes of course Billybob, we did boo at the Cyprus game, it was and Ireland game, we played sh*te, they deserved the boos, but surely to fark that should be that next time they go back to their bread and butter of League football, I just think it's awful and brainless cos it only drives the player being booed to put one over on those fans.  I agree however that Cashley deserves it cos he's a fckn dic*head.  100% with you on that Stiofáin.

can't agree with billybob we were well within our rights to boo at Cypriot game that was a disastrous campaign and staunton had to be pushed out..those england "fans" really have no clue they were booing before half time against croatia how is that gonna get your team back into a game.. really fickle...

Ryaner, i dont for one second disagree with the booing at Croker against Cyprus...i was all for it. All i'm saying is, i cant blame the English either..be it the 5th minute,45th minute or 90th.

Their campaign was seen as a failure, by the fans, long before that Croatia game...cmon look at their squad...they should be winning that group at a canter. If i was in their shoes(the fans), Wembley stadium on front of 80,000 + and going 2 goals down with that twat on the sideline hiding under his umbrella i'd find it pretty hard not to boo also!!!! They pay good money as we do!!

My point was, we're the exact same as the English fans apart from one thing - the violence. We watch the same programs (soccer am, sky sports...quoted so many time on this forum), we sing the same songs, we all watch the premiership, buy the jerseys etc etc etc etc etc so why wouldnt there be a comparison???

we lost the moral high ground when we booed in croker but it had to be done , stan and the players were running OUR TEAM into the ground , the slide had to be halted and it was correct to boo that day

The first time the Devil made me do it. The second time I did it on my own.

this is how bad the english fans are..went to a pool v utd game at anfield in 2001..was on to the lady taxi driver about the huge amount of police  that had to escort the utd fans down to anfield from the train station..she replied its a pity they were not about last weekend for the match..i paused for a minute as i knew england had played finland at anfield previous weekend..so i then mentioned that fact to her..she said once the match was over(eng won 2-1) all went back to pubs and all hell broke loose that evening, the scousers, mancs, brummies, geordies, londoners all hammering hell out of each other..wrecked all the pubs about anfield (mind you, that would not be hard)..seems if they have nobody to fight, fight among themselves

I think the difference is that the english fans booed their players for underperforming and not giving a sh*te.
We booed because Stan and Delaney needed a rocket up their arses in order to change management. Our booing was never about the players. You only have to look at the players who turned up in Wales for a meaningless match on a pissy november day to see that our guys care.

the english fans were definitely well within their rights to boo the england players at the weekend. they deserved it. and the fans have a right to make their feelings known.
