I've never listened to Ray D'Arcy so is it safe for me to assume you are considering nominating me for the POTY award?

@DublinDoc pot and kettle knobjockey

Eh your post started with the words Total Bollox, I don't think I misread the tone at all.

Fair enough, its not total bollocks to murder 150 people.

My point about pilots covering up 'depression' is clear as day in this article. How this guy was allowed to carry on when he had a previous case of depression frightens me.

Very sad but interesting read as you say it's frightening how he was allowed to fly

Jaysus lads there are threads highlighted at the top of this section regarding mental health & depression. Having mental health issues does not automatically mean a person has an inclination to be a mass murderer. A lot of what has been written about this lad in the past few days falls purely into the category of having great wisdom with the benefit of hindsight.

How was he allowed fly, I presume the answer is simple enough, his employers were unaware of his condition, I know he had a break in his training career for burnout, but is it realistic to think his employers would see this as a relevant issue some years later ?

I take my unbiased comment back, this is making pilots out to all be suffer from depression of some kind. Pathetic journalism some aussie pilot on telling us he thought about killing the fuel pumps for 2 years, looking to a wee slot on TV more like. Dead
