Greed has won, big finance has won. Whatever small role elite clubs still play in the local communities from which they grew is dwarfed now by their position as global brands.

A lot of German surnames come from the job they worked at men, like a lot of surnames around the world. Or just where they where from and job they had, a lot of its old German too.

Our surname is shared by a certain Thomas Muller so we're Müller and before that as everyone mentions in the clan Gerd, Müller translated is Miller. Most are the same, although some are cracking.

Schweinsteiger is 'pig stable' schwein - pig,  steig - stable but 'er' usually relaters to an area where the name originates. Depends how you interrupt it, we mill corn by our surname.
