Fantastic first time finish really...

Lovely.
And Chedozie's confidence looks peak.
Hard for Kenny to not start him next week...

Cant be far off a starting spot at Rotherham given his performances. If he can get a starting berth there and score a few, then he could get himself a cap or two yet.

Very similar style of player to Kevin Doyle could deffo win a few caps if he starts banging in goals in the championship.

Off the bench and scores within 3 minutes. Ogbene not in match day squad, presumably injured!

You would think he's earned a start at this point.

2 goals in 143 minutes in the league. 0 league starts.

He's certainly making a case for himself and the fans seem to have taken to him, but he didn't get a start today even with Ogbene out. Eaves and Washington were the starting pair.

2 goals in 171 mins. Scored within two minutes of coming on today so hopefully that gives the new manager something to think about.

I don't think it's impetuous to say he should be in serious consideration for the next squad. Parrott's injured and Rotherham will want to wrap Ogbene in cotton wool after his injury. We've seen everything Robinson can do. Kelly and Keane the ones to look at, at least against Malta.

Showed good strength to get back on his feet and the finish was resounding. Showed good striker's instinct as well to know where to be for the breaking ball.

It sounds like simple stuff but some of our younger players don't get themselves into those kind of positions, and show that kind of awareness, enough.

He's come on in three games now going back to the very end of last season and scored soon after. Good quality to have, showing repeated ability to get up to the speed of a game and make a quick impact.

We've talked about lads like Horgan being options off the bench in the past. Kelly looks like an upgrade on that, even if he doesn't come in straight away as a starter.

Kelly deffo looks v comfortable at this level any time I've seen him. I'd love to see him in an Irish squad, his hold up play is better than anyone we have currently imo and showed it at a decent level for Bohs against PAOK.

It was an awkward chance, he took it well. Has made an impact when given the chance for Rotherham, hopefully that translates into being given more starts in future.
We're decent enough..

I

Yep, if he starts getting regular game time and keeps scoring, then he can force his way into contention. He's got a way to go yet though, he's only played a handful of games off the bench. People getting carried away as usual. I'd love to see him do it though, we need a donegal man in the team and seamus won't be around much longer!

Managers and I emphasize managers as it's Warne and now the new manager seem to have some sort of allergy to starting this lad.

Surely Kelly earns a mini run in the team with Ogbene out now. Mad he didn't start today. Clearly has goals in him with some sort of decent service even at this level.

It's also clear that for whatever reason, be that fitness, a lack of athleticism or something else, that different managers haven't trusted him with a start. I'M in his corner, but jesus, he has plenty to do before he even becomes a consideration for Kenny. Lads jumping the gun again imo and I repeat I'd love to see him earn a cap!
