Some debut for him. Wouldn't have thought in January that the ex LoI player scoring a promotion securing goal in League 1 would be Kelly and not Jamie McGrath.

Their fans forum seems to have the consensus that Ogbene played well today too. And he did set up the goal for Kelly with a straight forward but well executed pass that Kelly ran onto.
It will be interesting to see if Ogbene stays at Rotherham. I suspect he might now that they are promoted. He might be better off sticking with a manager he knows and that know him and progress at that level. Kelly must be delighted with himself and rightly so but it would have been nice if he had a game or two to bring the confidence from the goal into.

I see Rotherham have signed the hugely experienced Conor Washington, which I can only imagine spells bad news for Kelly and Kayode.

They lost a player to Ipswich so Washington is a replacement for him! If you want a left field player to come into the conversation of making Irish squads in 9-12 months time or being in contention there's worse shouts then Georgie Kelly. Have a feeling Kayode will be the one to miss out if they do sign another attacker to bolster there options further.
Very interested to see how he gets on there.

Washington has never cut it at Championship level has he? It's not Harry Kane they have signed. Kayode might need a drop permanently or on loan alright given the amount he played last year.

Not that I can recall no. Smith obviously the main goal getter but Kayode is a similar type target man so they may keep him as an alternative to him if he gets injured. I'm half expecting Rotherham to utilize Ogbene in attacking positions next season as well as opposed to wing back.
Think Kelly could play a surprisingly prominent role for them mind.

Played well in his cameo tonight. Could be an option going forward. Very good hold up play and made a nuisance of himself. Big physical presence up front with a good touch and able to bring runners into it. Something we haven't had for a good while.
