The FAI, Bohs and Pats all fined just over 15k each for the damage caused by the flares thrown on to the pitch during the final. Bohs made 16k for losing the game, so come out with 667 quid from it, excluding earnings from ticket sales.

Talk about a pittance. Shameful.

He wouldn't set me free,
So he kept me soul for ransom.

The FAI were also warned that something like this would happen if they refused to allow both displays before the match

Is that how things work - fans warn the governing body?

There was a meeting between groups from both teams and the FAI security/stadium management before the match in relation to the displays, and they had been in contact with clubs in the weeks preceding it in relation to this. Someone from the FAI's security was adamant that no displays would be going ahead and they and the Gardaí told that if this was to happen then people would just resort to lighting more pyro before the match, which is exactly what happened. They had permitted entry on the morning of the match to set up the materials/displays but pulled them about 2/3 hours before kick off

If Duff manages to get any sort of decent performances from John O’Sullivan, then he should become Ireland manager immediately.

Yeah I can't see why we're in for him but I trust Duff so hopefully he comes good for us if he signs. Safe to say the reaction from Shels fans on it is far from positive
