agree, also getting rave reviews by Bournemouth fans. If ye stays in the team he has to come into next squad ahead of hourihan, mulumby. He’s technically way ahead of mulumby & football wise he’s ahead of Hourihan.

There are three games for Bournemouth between now and the November internationals. If kilkenny starts all of them and us performing as well as he is, I'd say start him for the seniors.

A midfield of Cullen, kilkenny and Knight all start on merit for me.

Can't see it. Think he'll be in the squad but can't see him starting. I know McGrath made his debut away to Portugal but he was already in with the training camp and was playing as the advanced midfielder with Hendrick and Cullen. Can't see him throwing Kilkenny in to partner Cullen.

I don't see any major surprises for the last round of games. At this point kenny's probably just going to wait until the nations League to call up new faces.

Don’t be stupid!

He hasn’t been training with the senior set up and you would start him? Hendrick has been excellent for us the last few games so deserves to start.

Yeah not a chance with Knight, Browne and Molumby fit and playing well again.

Cullen and Hendrick first choice, the above as their back up.

Knight/Browne possibly alongside them in the more advanced position with McGrath presumably out.

With McGrath out either himself or Ronan will be in the squad

mulumby & Browne are not international level. No where near it. Kilkenny has real potential in an area we struggle in fir genuine creativity & technical ability. He’s good enough to be in squad now.

Jack Taylor probably has a better chance over both lads. If any of the lads make it it's more than likely to train with the squad.

This is the benefit of the Stephen Kenny succession plan where he moved from u21s to Senior Manager. He is very familiar with the likes of Kilkenny, Coventry and Ronan and vice versa in terms of the players knowledge of Kennys style. It should help fast track their progress but barring a spate of absentees, Kilkenny won’t be near starting in the next game.

I think Kilkenny is playing a higher level of football than Taylor, mcgrath and Ronan. He's not going to develop further in the u21s for me, his performances for Bournemouth have been very good, we dont have an embarrassment of riches in the midfield department and his range of passing is probably better than all other players in the squad.

On merit he's performing better than all other midfielders over the last few games, if he can maintain that level for the three games before the internationals then he should be playing.

They are at opposite ends of the championship yeah but Jack Taylor has about a year and a half extra of league one football behind him over the last two seasons. Think he missed a spell out but hes back now and himself and Kilkenny probably have roughly the same amount of championship appearances. The fact Kenny namechecked him last month must hold some weight also. Both exciting talents and it’s nice to have a few younger midfielders coming through.

Interesting to hear him speak in this interview. Comes across as very articulate and intelligent and the way he analyses the ebb and flow of the 90mins demonstrates why he might have found a home as a deeper lying player: https://twitter.com/afcbournemouth/status/1451962496290590730?s=20

One of Taylor or Kilkenny most certainly should be making the squad. Il choke if I see Arter in there at either players expense. Need to blood young midfielders especially when they are playing well.

Kilkenny is such a fascinating one very much out the blue but looking a real find in the sitting ball playing CM role..Hes getting rave reviews.

If he makes it, Kilkenny will join a select group of Irish internationals ( e.g. Miller, various Murphys ) whose name is also that of a beer.
