No he wasn't, made one decent save and a few straightforward ones, had one howler too 

Didn't chat to anyone who wanted McCarthy to replace him, but he definitely divides opinion here 
I was being facetious. There were a couple of howlers, like there has been most weeks since he signed. He couldn't do anything about the goal though.

He'd have been better getting nothing on it at all. The fact he got a hand to it (in some people's minds) creates an illusion he could have saved it. It was a powerful downwards header from close range, it's probably one of the most technically difficult saves there is.
We're decent enough..

Funny I put it to a friend about Bazunu doing better for the goal who would have zero dog in the Irish player fight last night watching MOTD in a pub and his response was “surely your not blaming Bazunu for not saving that”

They could be very easy saves to make though so the manager is right that the only half decent shot wasn't saved. But still, a player his age needs public encouragement not snarky comments.

Header was down towards the ground as well, would have been a miracle save if he had somehow clawed that one away. 

He made one big mistake which was the bad clearance kick, Villa really should have punished that one but didn't.

That definitely sounds like Jones wants to replace him. Not least because it's wrong - he made a good stop in the first half, as well as a few other straightforward ones. However, he also had one terrible kick from a backpass that could easily have lead to a goal being conceded, but they got away with it.

Myself and The Bronze over for the game today, had one dodgy moment, and possibly should've done better for the goal, otherwise nothing to do.

Fans seem fairly divided on him.
