I enjoyed last week's madness unlike many others but thought the ending was sh*te, seriously underwhelming.

Think it was people over expecting for a final twist that has people as disappointed as they are.
Barring Dany being killed, it was a pretty laid back episode. Why didn't Gendry automatically become king? Would he not have had a claim to it? It also seemed that that's what they were aiming for all through the season. Had a terrible feeling that when John went North, he'd walk into the snow and Dany would be there waiting for him, after being taken there by Drogon, and she wasn't dead at all 'We could stay 1000 years and no one would find us'

The new lords decided to continue Danerys' (before she went mad) work of "breaking the wheel", by choosing the right person as King rather than basing it on lineage.

The finale was comically bad ,only took them 5 minutes to decide to give the job to Bran |

Seriously underwhelming is right. Actually enjoyed the season even though it was a bit rushed in parts, especially the Varys storyline, but last night was a disappointment. It's a pity as has definitely been my favourite programme to watch since the start but last night was a let down. Bran telling everyone for the last while that he wasn't Bran anymore & was now the Three Eyed Raven then all of a sudden he's King Bran At that meeting at the end there was no mention of John being the rightful heir then he gets pegged off to the Wall again even though he basically saved the world, twice! The switch in the episode from him killing Dany to that meeting of the families was dreadful. I thought I missed parts and had to rewind it to be sure

I think that was my main gripe of it, it went for Oh now Dani is dead to what would have obviously been a few weeks later. As I said above I think I would have preferred an ending where Dany had gone on to burn the world down and rule like a tyrant.

the weather in Westeros is very unpredictable. One day its snowing the next it's great drying weather. Bit like here in may. sh*te ending to the show. It went downhill once they stopped showing tits and ass. Have a feeling there could be spin off with yer wan heading out on the boat to explore the west with her little sword.

Was seriously disappointed overall with the last season. The suspense and shocking moments dropped dramatically from episode 4 onwards. Even the last episode with Jon and Danny it just left me thinking "is that it?" Seemed they were just throwing sh*t and hoping some of it stuck. Some of.it did and they were big moments if taken on their own merit, but just how they were portrayed and the amount of big moments they were throwing at us to deal with in quick succession I kind of ended up not caring. They should have dragged the fight against the dead out for a few more episodes and based the end around that. Also watched an episode of the OA last night after and that was more exciting than that last episode of GoT, which says a lot to me about how much the last episode left m, as said, not really caring and feeling so disappointed with the final outcome

Normally you read the heading and get the gist of the story but that was actually very funny.

So what are people's reasons for disappointment?
Expecting something else to happen? Rushed? AN Other?
