I have had great luck, and that is all it is, any time I go to a racetrack. Winning an early race gives great confidence rather than chasing money.
Oh Poland we loved you.....

Nope but then again neither has Mrs Claret Big smile . Any of your clan going racing this week ????

Not that I know of.  Poor Mrs Claret.  She certainly deserves best dressed lady on the away trips :)

Probably be underpriced though considering the trainer. Just a fancy.

Been backed already. Opened up in double figures, now top price 8/1. Expect Weld to win the 2 year old maiden as usual. His yoke in the 1st is way underpriced so will give that a swerve or may lay it.

Every Weld horse being backed bar the one in the 3 YO handicap. Going to lay his yoke in the opener and bumper and back him in the maiden and big race. Lay him for a place in the other 2.... Dangerous I knowTongue

1 down, 1 loss. And after hearing Weld there fairly bullish about his chances in the bumper Im going to swerve laying him. TBH he seemed fairly confident about all his runners.

The Galway Races

Yes I know, it's Only €300 a night, a lovely B&B, there's a small electric kettle for tea, I feel quite thankful I got it "so cheap". I'll struggle thru a greasy fry, forget me tie and crawl up the Tuam Road out to Ballybrit just before the 4th race. I'll watch with candy floss meshed in my curls as 50 entry donkey derbies sweep across an undulating plain of parked cars, chip-vans and hurdy-gurdies. You wouldn't see it in a John Wayne movie.
I won't recall hungry pub owners on Disney-fied Shop Street or plastering a 12" Hawaiian across me face outside Supermac's. I'll confide my medical impotence to a batty, one-eyed fortune teller in Eyre Square before she falls off her chair and as the Sun comes up I'll talk sh*te with a Dentist's son from Birr on the quay beside the Corrib. He'll tell me of his still lofty ideals to Act now eight years have passed in UCG, not yet realising his dreams have already succumbed to a crusty dole paradise in the graveyard of ambition.
