Yea a very one sided game. The Biffos never got going! Dean kelly looks a decent footballer at half forward for dublin.

Probably all in mourning after Brian's announcement earlier

I heard dean Kelly had a great game alright..scored 0-3 from open play I think? He grew up on my road - good to see a gaels man doing well:)

Would I also be right in saying that our league games are in croker this year instead of Parnell park? Part of some spring series?

Yea i was impressed with Dean Kelly. A tidy footballer and i hope he gets a fair chance from gilroy too. I am from Donaghmede and its great to see a gaels man on the panel.

All 4 of dublin's  football league games in football and 2 hurling games are in croke park. Most of the games are under lights. A season ticket will cost you €45 for 6 games. €20 for a child.

Dublin Hurlers bet Antrim today on a score line 2-13 to 12pts. Dublin didn't score for 25 minutes of the first half. A pretty poor game but Keaney and Rhino linked up well on the hakf forward line.  We face galway in the next round.

hey are hoping for 40,000 plus for each game
Clubs encouraged to sell tickets and the loot goes back into grassroots
Good initiative but can't see it working
40,000 at a league game??

It certainly will not be a sell out for any game but i hear vodafone will be marketing the games pretty intensely so 40,000 wouldnt be a bad attendence. They did get 80,000 for league games against tyrone previously.

Hope to make it to Croke for the Dublin v Down and Kilkenny v Dublin double bill. Reckon there will be a decent enough crowd for that one at least.

Fifteen changes for Mayo

Mayo keeper Kenneth O'Malley
21 January 2011

Mayo manager James Horan has named a completely new team to face Roscommon in Sunday's FBD Connacht FL game.

Not one of the players who lined out in the 2-8 to 1-5 win against NUIG last Saturday have been included as Horan tries out all the available talent at his disposal ahead of the league starting in February.

Mayo FBD Connacht FL v Roscommon) - Kenneth O'Malley, Keith Higgins, David Killeen, Eoghan Reilly, Trevor Howley, Lee Keegan, Ruadiri O'Connor, Barry Moran, James Kilcullen, Ian Rowland, Cathal Freeman, Andrew Farrell, Enda Varley, Mark Ronaldson, Brian Benson

Good win today in Ballyhaunis for a completely different 15. 1-6 for Ronaldson, good performance.

Mayo 1-12 Roscommon 0-8

Beat Lietrim and we play NUIG in the final
They finally did it man... They killed my f**kin' car...

Great Result for our footballers beating Armagh yesterday. Drawing with Down, Beating Armagh ( albeit in the McKenna Cup) shows the strides our footballers have made.

Pity about the hurlers, was never confident with the amount of absentees but at least we weren't totally hammered.

FBD League: Ronaldson on song for Mayo

23 January 2011

Mayo 1-12
Roscommon 0-8

Mayo produced a five-star second-half performance this afternoon at Ballyhaunis to eclipse Connacht champions Roscommon and move closer to a place in the FBD League final.

Mark Ronaldson was the star of the show for the hosts, who trailed by 0-7 to 0-6 at half-time in this encounter after the early scores of Jonathan Dunning, Kevin Higgins and Donal Shine for the Rossies.

Three minutes into the restart though Ronaldson struck for the game's only goal when he demonstrated his soccer skills to round the Roscommon 'keeper and tap to the empty net.

The score gave James Horan's men the lead and their stern defence would only concede one more point - from Fintan Cregg - afterwards, as the would-be winners dominated until the long whistle, with Ronaldson, Enda Varley and Aidan Kilcoyne all putting up scores to secure a possible final meeting with John Maughan's NUIG.

we have to sell at least 75 from our club to be able to keep any of the money.

So if you're planning on going to the games try to support you local club before going to ticket master etc.
