I know alot of those donegal lads and the noise they're making is that they do plan to take it alot easier on the beer this year, they seem to be taking it alot more serious.
remains to be seen though

Horan calls for better finishing

Mayo manager James Horan
17 January 2011

New Mayo manager James Horan has demanded that his players be more clinical in front of goal after Saturday's FBD League win over GMIT.

Horan's charges kicked 17 wides over the 70 minutes, with goals in either half from Eric Monahan and Cillian O'Connor proving decisive in their 2-8 to 1-5 win at McHale Park, Castlebar.

"We were just keen to get up and running and we were slow starting off and we were quite lethargic, particularly in the first half," said Horan. "But we played for about 15 minutes in the second half and Ronan McGarrity came into the game and dictated matters.

"We dominated the game, but we didn't do much with the ball. We had 40 scoring chances and we took 10 - we had 17 wides, eight into the goalie's hands and five off the post, so we created the chances but we didn't take them.

"That is obviously something we have to work on," he added. "There was a lot of rustiness; we had a heavy training session the night before the match and that coupled with everything else made the legs a little bit heavy and it took us a while to get going."

Delighted to hear him tell it exactly as it is. Wasteful, which has been a problem for a long time, especially kicking the ball into the goalies hands Angry

The season isn't over yet. Munster final on sunday week in Limerick. Dr Crokes vs Nemo Rangers. Should be a great contest with the winners favourites to win the All Ireland

I have just heard the Dublin v Offaly game is now fixed for 2.30pm tomorrow afternoon as they feared the pitch would freeze tomorrow evening.

Yea a very one sided game. The Biffos never got going! Dean kelly looks a decent footballer at half forward for dublin.
