I'm involved with Bordeaux GAA, would lads travelling to Ireland vs. Belgium be interested in a big GAA match before the main event? Or would it just get in the way of drinking?

Cheers

I don't think the day of the game would be a runner, maybe the day beforehand?

@a.cunningham11 - is there a pub in Bordeaux that shows live GAA matches?

Mayo v Galway throws in at 8pm French time on Saturday June 18th and I'd like to see at least some of this if possible.

Two big matches also the following day at 3pm and 5pm - Tyrone/Derry v Armagh/Cavan and Limerick v Tipp/Cork in the Munster hurling championship.

We'll be finding somewhere for this aswell. Loads of Irish bars in France.

Also, who will be playing in the GAA and will it be hurling or football?

Dont know about Bordeaux, but McNultys in LaRochelle will be showing them all, and pints a fiver which for an Irish bar in France seems very reasonable.
I know nothing :-)

Will RTE will be bothered or allowed by the GAA to show such early games live? Anyhow should be on the Sunday Game. No names best when it comes to RTE reception abroad...;)

"Perhaps the reason that they did not consider the worst, was because discussion of such cases would have cast suspicion on the planner as being a "saboteur". Paranoia was rampant throughout."

Yeah, there are lots of pubs in Bordeaux that will show the match and all the others for that matter.

The Connemara, Blarney Stone, Black Velvet Bar and the HMS (if on SKy) are the main ones that will show it.
