See 'Humans of the GAA' facebook page.
I could agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.

reports saying Davy to resign as Clare Manager in the next 48 hours

1x All Ireland (only year they actually played in Croke Park, wins over Dublin, Laois, Offaly and Limerick the highlights of the other years campaigns)
1x League ( lucky to win it really this year, mediocre really in 12/13/14 and 15)
1x Munster Championship victory (deff the blip in the his clare managerial career 1 munster championship win out of 6 games)

imagine he may go on to a mentoring role for clubs all over the country and be a pundit on Rte or Sky in 2017 before returning to Intercounty management in 2018 to either Dublin, Galway or Cork.

wonder will Clare go for a big name manager ??

Not an unsurprising development, his results since 2013 have been very poor given the talent he had at his disposal. But with Fitz & his managerial style, it seems simple enough,  he does whatever he does, but there is only so long that lads will listen to him, or perhaps more accurately, put up with him.

In frame for Clare job ? Wouldn't have a clue, but surely the U21 AI winning managers Donal Moloney & Gerry O'Connor will probably be mentioned, Daly will get a mention (but seemingly told the Limerick lads he wasn't interested in returning to a senior post for the moment, his own county might be different though) and maybe Donal Og, if he isn't seen as too tied to the Fitz regime. That might be a difficult sell for some of the Clare people though, considering he hasn't done a lot as a coach bar talk a very good game in various media roles as opposed to anything much on a sideline.

Where Davy goes, if he had any sense, he would probably take a year out, where Dublin or Limerick or Galway might become possibilities next year, but then again, they may not. Offaly are about the only ones looking, but I dunno would their budget extend as far as the 52 man backroom team Davy seems to bring everywhere with him.

You can forget Cork as long as Mr Frank is calling the shots, and Mr Frank is still very much calling the shots. Even if he wasn't, I'm not sure Cork would appoint an outside manager, and to have Davy as their first one would probably be too big a step for the conservative factions of Cork GAA. Mind you, he would probably still have a better chance of the Cork job than Donal Og.....

We don't 500k in the bank. Sad day for Laois. They would want to keep him on in some prominent role.

David Fitzgerald will be the next permanent Dublin hurling manager.

I will resign from the forum if this does not happen.

Be a good appointment for Dublin. Would be a good fit right now. Think Davy will take some time out meself.

Can't disagree with that, Cork, KK & Tipp, notwithstanding the fact that all of them have managers, have never appointed an outside the county manager, nor won't for a good while yet, he won't be making a reappearance here any time soon (the players might have changed, the county board hasn't)

That leaves either the Dubs or Limerick/Galway, but both those 2 have managers, you would think Kiely as a new manager will get a 2nd year in Limerick other than a complete disaster, while Galway under Micheal Donoghue came closest to beating Tipp this year, there doesn't seem to be any appetite for change there anyway.

Cunningham's position is dodgy to say the least, while he has blooded some good new young lads for Dublin, as a team, they haven't made any progress from Daly's time, another year of the same or similar & its Davy's if he wants it.
