In fairness if Dublin were a county in Leinster with 150k population in the same situation as the others against a team like Dublin they'd have packed it in a long time ago too. It's no coincidence 10 have given up.

I love the way the same people who say that counties have given up go mental when they're told Dublin work harder

It'll be grand in a few years - no young people will be able to afford to live in Dublin anymore, and thus the production line will run dry

Meath will return to winning All-Irelands

Kildare will still remain sh*t

Tipperary to return to their blue and gold for the Semi Final, would have liked them to see them keep the commemorative jerseys for the semi and the final.

Splitting up Dublin is nonsence. There's been lots of periods of dominance in all sports, these things come and go in waves others will catch up. If Population was their only advantage, their hurlers would be running the show too.

A secondary competition is something that has to happen tho, works well in Hurling and every other sport on the planet.

Would have been nice but can understand the sponsors wanting to get their logo back on (if that is the cause). Already missed out on a lot of media coverage with the Munster final win.

AFAIK the GAA match funding for clubs to employ development officers (well I think that's the case in Dublin anyway) so it can literally be only have the cost for clubs.

If Tipp do get to the final and meet Dublin there then you'd imagine there'll be serious interest again to wear the throwback jersey. In fact it would be a big opportunity missed and even their usual sponsors would probably benefit from the further good publicity about allowing it.

I would have like them to keep wearing them forever! Something about the Tipp colours I've never liked.

What do ye make of Cavan's request for a neutral venue? No need for the corporate boxes this year as they can't get in. Dublin will be 1/100 wherever it is on. A neutral venue would be very fair and I think Dublin and their fans would happily go along with it, probably even in favour of it too.

Play it in Armagh or something?

EDIT Cavan denied they asked for a change of venue.
