not writing her off, just giving you a bit more of an understanding of the politics over here. she'll be in the running until the very end, not doubting that for a second. but there's a default setting in French people not to give their 2nd round vote to a Le Pen. happened with her aul fella, will be the same again this time around. the thing is, marine hasn't hit 50 yet, so she'll be involved in many more presidential elections.

See, Le Penn has distanced herself from her fathers comments over the last number of years, she's infact said she may compromise with Europe.

She isn't her father, or even close.

I think she'll do it, silent majority again.

Her aul fella came out before the republican primaries in November and said that Sarkozy was in line with his beliefs and that marine was far more extreme.
as far as the supposed compromise she's willing to have with Europe, that's a load of pony.

usually ignore him but advocating for le pen is a different level. clearly the misguided fool has no understanding of the ramifications of such a scenario.
He's sitting at home laughing at people responding to him. I'm guilty myself of responding to him at times.

Bryner just goes against the common opinion on every topic on this forum and makes ridiculous posts looking to reel people in. Just look at the absolute garbage he posts about Donald Trump. I was reading something yesterday on the US election thread about a country music singer playing at Trumps ceremony on Friday that nobody has ever heard of. And as per usual, Byrner has already seen him live. What surprised me was, he claims to be a United season ticket holder but instead of pretending to be at the game, or even watching the game, he's posting videos of random American songs while United are playing their biggest rivals, a match that almost every United season ticket holder would be at.
He doesn't even have the intelligence for that. Byrner, you 'seen' nothing, you saw it and it is Le Pen. 5 f**king letters that are all over the internet and you can't even copy it down.

Its written in the script that Le Pen wins. And if she does she might take a dip in the fountain.

The options really are uninspiring, I have an inkling(had to get one in) that Fillon will still win. He is about as exciting, humane and charming as Theresa May but anything is better than Le Pen.

When others tell you how to run your country, you'll soon get sick of them.

Couldn't find where to post this, but this is most relevant.

Dutch Elections are next month and the front-runner is a chap named Geert Wilders who wants to ban Muslims, shut mosques and called all Moroccans 'scum' - Can't imagine he'll be too popular around here!

I imagine if he gets elected a Dutch EU referendum will end up being brought up.

It's crazy how nowadays if you play the immigration card in politics you're suddenly very well liked.

Wilders has a good shot of winning the popular vote, but nobody will go into coalition with him.  Every Dutch government since the late 1800s has been a coalition.  So unfortunately it's unlikely that he'll end up being PM.

I know, crazy. 100,000 odd years of humanity and were only starting to get tribal now.

30 odd years of forced political correctness out of 100,000 ain't going to rewrite our natural genetic instincts of being more comfortable with our own kind.
