Joey Barton has claimed he has been visited by police three times in the last four days and hit out at 'attempts to intimidate me and my family' - before comparing the UK to North Korea. 

The former Manchester City and Newcastle footballer revealed some of his tweets have resulted in multiple police visits at his home this week, with officers asking him for a voluntary interview.

It's the attention that he needs, even if it's bad it's attention so he will keep going. I know a few people that behave similarly and they have f**ked up their lives.

His GoFundMe, he created in an attempt to countersue Jeremy Vine, seems to have hit a wall at £15k, despite hoping to reach £100k.

Seemingly has said he will make/match a donation to some charity but the wording is very ambiguous. This all after he said he has 'deep pockets'
