According to their website Bohs are claiming to be the oldest association football club in Ireland founded in 1890. My understanding was Athlone Town were the oldest founded in 1887.




The sequence now is, should he miss this, and Ireland's next penalty is scored, then the match and the progress are Ireland's....Timofte against Bonner..

Dublin University football club is the oldest club in the world although they now play rugby.... Wikipedia search provided me with this ...1854

Saw Football Mundial during the week, had feature on Sheffiled FC as the oldest club in the world. Sepp Blatter was over for an anniversary dinner and they are supposed to be playing Inter Milan in a friendly with Pele going along.

Would be good to find out for sure. F**kin hate Bohs anyway
