A good result, great performance from Dunne and well supported by O'Shea and St Ledger but killer was poor and don't think his spirit and guts can make up now for his lack of quality. Whelan and Keane were never in it but Duffer and Folan did well and Hunty and Andrews were fine, if Steven Reid can get fit and we can find a new reliable left back then SA here we come! |

Hello all new to the forum.
Just got back from Sofia and wreaked but worth it. Good result and some good performances especially Dunne and Folan. Just hope Steven Reid is back to face Cyprus in september and we can get the result that will take us a step closer to Africa. Fanzone was great craic, very hard to find drink after the game as the cops told most bars to stop serving all the fans. |

Great result
Looking good for the Cyprus game.
Cyprus threw away a two goal lead against Monty.
Two late goals conceded would have felt like a defeat.
Gives us a psychological advantage for the game in Larnika.
If can beat Cyprus, makes the home game against Italy MASSIVE.

was a very hostile atmosphere - seats on fire, nazi flags and salutes and segregated fans of levski and cska. no mixing of fans pre match, irish fans zone was irish fans only and in fairness to the bulgarian police, it was stewarded very well for our protection. the police kept shutting pubs down and taking "dues" from bar owners. i was in three pubs that were closed down on friday

Was talking to a couple of lads, said the atmosphere was extremely hostile
Couple of small groups picked off before the game by gangs of gypos who then ran away when a few Irish lads fought back ****S  |

Still lacking a bit of class in the middle Bulgaria will beat Cyprus away, we may not!! And our group aint looking too good for a play off spot. End of the day, it's in our own hands Richie Dunne is a fookin hero |
