This could certainly be in their thinking. As for Moyes, a recent (very recent) PL manager is not going to manage us

Over the next few months, I fully expect to see a few journalists reporting that they have approached Carsley again and the "it's going to be Carsley" train is going to depart again.

I think this is absolutely the case. Every time he talks about the role profile he's describing Carsley. Very few others fit into the criteria. It was a bit of a stretch of credulity to believe Carsley preferred to take the March u21 games rather than taking the job at that point. It's an even bigger one to think he's going to take it in September. What would change things? He may think he has a shot of England senior job and once Southgate stays/they hire someone else after the euros then he jumps ship? Seems unlikely...

There's been a lot worse suggestions on this thread and I wouldn't put anything past that bluffer Canham.

With absolutely nothing to back it up, I reckon Canham is still hoping Carsley changes his mind.

Whilst they'd get over the whole non binary thing, the fact Bambi is from Cork would make it a no for a few on here....

Bambie Thug? She qualified The EIRE for a major tournament. Might be worth a shot.

Good to see the FAI out in force to defend themselves after the shambles of the last 7 months

It is quite funny that people have been bashing the FAI for years for not being professional enough, and then the second they try to institute something that could be regarded as very basic best practice requirements, they get bashed for "getting above their station".

And if this coach wants to practice set pieces they should be sacked immediately.

Its a joke, we should be paying some geriatric €2m a year to sit in their villa in Italy watching DVDs who will pick the same shape / starting XI every single time regardless of form or injuries or the opponent we're up against.

In other words, perform the basic job of a modern coach for half a million a year. What a horrendous imposition

FAI Criteria: Must live in Dublin Must liaise with underage coaches Must have backroom staff imposed upon them Must take dummy training sessions with players whose ability is nowhere near international level Must turn water into wine And do this for 400,000 a year
