This is what they need to do. Canham and the other eejits have made it all complicated. I’m amazed he hasn’t resigned like Hill did. Imagine continuing to preside over that shambles.

Why do people think they had someone lined up?
There was never any agreement and all the deadlines were to buy more time IMO

We have been knocked back again and again on this, as has been reported.

LOL It’s all the Kenny out brigades fault that this latest version of the clownshoe FAI are going to take around 12 months to replace Kenny.

I wouldn’t be surprised if if he said to them if you want me to continue give me a minimum 2 year contract. The players need a manager and need to get on with putting a shape on the team in preparation for September. Picking someone in September and throwing them in at the deepend in competitive fixtures after having what would be 12 months to replace the last manager is an utter shambles.

If something went seriously wrong they should just state that. They don't have to name any individual or throw anyone under the bus. Canham will be gone by end of year anyway, but if he has any integrity he should just go now.

You spent months telling everyone how wrong they were when it was as obvious as the sky being blue what was happening. You tried to discredit every single journalist as being unreliable, every single forum member who voiced concern as idiotic.

You're never leaving this down.

Surely if there are contractual arrangements, then they're not available? Unless he's saying they spoke to some who are available and some who are still under contract.

Headhunting is perfectly legitimate. In fact it’s a more difficult approach, but more impressive if it is successful.

Yeah of course, I'm not disputing that. I'm only saying it sounds contradictory to say a number of those they spoke to were available, but then suggest there was a contractual barrier to them taking the job. It doesn't make sense, unless as I said he's talking about two different groups of people.

Would I be right in thinking the only manager we've ever had that would fit their criteria would be Trap? And he stayed in Italy.

Possibly yeah.

They've given him loads of leverage by publicly stating they want him.
