O'Shea said he didn't care if he was 107th choice on the fai"s list and he'd still want it.
Him being eager is an understatement.

The FAI need to become professional in how they avail of government funding.  It should be their number one priority and they need to become top class at it.  It’s more important than who the next manager is or if Evan Ferguon fulfils his potential.  The business case needs to be made professionally and they need to network like crazy and make sure the next ceo knows how to engage with the dept of sport

He’s not a mission of getting in anywhere else and he knows that the FAI are under pressure so he’ll keep his name in the loop and get some ‘pals’ to do his bidding.

Will the process for the next CEO be as cloak and dagger as the manager search, like I know they want to keep things under wraps but with a CEO do they need to do that as much

It's a stage where I don't even care who they appoint now. Farce.

Candidates like Chris Coleman and Neil Lennon both look like great options now that it's dragged on and the recent list of options such as Chris Hughton and Steve Bruce are becoming more realistic options. LOL

"Bonner is understood to have flagged concerns about the performance of senior executives that has aged well in hindsight."

Any chance someone can copy/paste the text from this piece by Dan McDonnell today?

Not sure if that's a compliment.

At the rate this is going, it'll be dragged out until the end of May, in time for a squad announcement versus Portugal.. Alternatively, they could go around the pubs near LR and listen to a few experts about football management, give them a 7 year contract - they like that figure - and we'd all live happily ever after.

We should try a left field approach. Go completely rogue and hire a GAA manager or Rugby coach.
