A draw or a one goal defeat.

Highly likely 1-3 to France. Hard to see how almost any team in Europe could live with this French team right now.
Absolute guarantee - about six or seven posters on here after the game demanding SK's execution, with a hardcore saying he should never have been given the job, with a couple mocking his speech patterns.
If we fight tooth and nail we could keep the score down. We showed some grit against Scotland, but it has not a feature of SK's reign. And I don't see it happening for this game.
If we can get through the first half 0-0 then our hope is that France will leave enough room for Obafemi and Ferguson to operate in. Maybe some early long balls, like Randolph to Shane Long vs Germany.

If we put in yet again another disappointingly embarrassing performance where does this leave Stephen Kenny.
At what stage is all confidence gone, and it’s time to see who fancies the job.

I don't think France tend to hammer sides that much away from home in qualifiers.

Probably 2-0 France with a spirited performance from Ireland.

Yeah, let's just hope and pray to keep the score down at home against a team that hasn't won an away qualifier by more than two goals against anyone other than complete minnows in over a decade. Ermm

List of teams France have beaten in away qualifiers by more than two goals in the last 15 years:

Andorra
Moldova

That's it.

Less than a 3 goal defeat is a result tbh. Can't see us keeping mbappe quiet for too long

2-0 to France or 3-1 to France.

So many stars in this French team. It will be very difficult to contain them.
