Two goals conceded from set pieces (corners) last night and five goals against in two games.

Unless Kerry can tighten up at the back it going to be a long hard season ahead

A training camp for kids has been announced for the Easter break - presumably every LoI club has a similar scheme, but much like the GAA, they realise families are the key group to focus on, attendance-wise.

Well done the Kingdom getting a point with ten men.

Good Wearside connection the historic scorer Sean Kennedy is a former Sunderland reserve/Academy player.

On a more serious note, that's certainly the most complete performance by Kerry so far - the effort was sustained for the full 90 minutes, and the most serious mistakes of the first two games were largely avoided. Of course, the question remains as to what level Treaty are at, and Galway's a tough place for even the best teams in the division to pick up a point, but as long as they manage the basics well, it should be an improvement on the Bray game.

Kerry FC is delighted to announce a fundraising initiative for our Academy teams with huge prizes on offer every week.

A Kerry FC lotto has been launched to raise vital funds for our future stars. The club has 4 underage teams, with aspiring stars from the age of 13 to 19 taking to the field across 4 teams and across the 4 corners of Ireland. In 2023, Kerry FC is fielding 4 teams in the EA Sports League of Ireland Academy with weekly games at Under 14, 15, 17 and 19 levels.

With this comes a cost, so the club has launched ‘Kerry FC Lotto’ which gives ticket holders the chance at winning a jackpot prize, which is a whopping €2’500, which will roll over until a lucky winner with 4 correct numbers takes home the spoils. If the jackpot isn’t won on a given week, 2 lucky dip prizes will be drawn from all the tickets, so there are numerous chances to win! Every cent from ticket purchases will go directly into our Academy structure to ensure the best possible standards are achieved for our youth players.

Tickets cost €2 each or you can get 3 tickets for €5.
Yearly lotto subscription is €100, giving you 2 free draws in the 52 weeks of the year! The first lotto draw will take place at halftime in Friday night’s clash against Treaty United in Mounthawk park.

The online-based lotto is powered by Clubforce and you can buy your ticket here:

Good Luck!

Will be interesting to see how they approach the Galway match - travelling to a side who have undoubtedly been the top team in the division in the early stage, and who are coming off a fine win in the RSC. That said, Kerry's strengths are certainly at the attacking end of the pitch, rather than at the back, so defending deep and trying to park the bus, rather than playing their natural game, could be a recipe for disaster.

Kerry are 15/1 to win tonight. A narrow loss would be a morale victory tonight. Small steps!
“Randolph sends it long…and Shane Long is in behind the German defence… Shane Long against Neuer…. 1-0!.. What a moment!”
