Suggests they've pretty much given up on the Under 19s if they're pulling one of their best players out for a friendly.

Not really. Win and we have a fair chance to qualify anyway right?

It's interesting alright because he wasn't even in the U19s squad yesterday so must have been with the U21s before then but only announced last night.

Need Estonia to take points off Slovakia as well as beat Greece.

Only seven qualification places for the Euro under 19s (plus a place for the hosts). So we'd have to top the group. Unlikely that Estonia will do us a favour, and even if they did we'd have to beat Greece which is no guarantee as the team has been playing poorly up to now.

So disappointing as I really feel like this is our best group.
I thought it was same setup as the 15's
We completely shot ourselves in the foot playing in Wexford imo which is just a decent schoolboy pitch
Should have gone to Dublin or Cork with these.

He's obviously highly rated. He only turned 17 in December.

Wonder if himself and McGrath were called up because there's doubts with some players, or he might be bringing in more defenders for a back three.

It's because of a couple of injury concerns I think.

I just passed Turners cross and the place was setting up and looked lively. Def doesn't look like they are expecting a small crowd.
