Leaving 2 weeks today.  Can't wait.  Never been in that part of the world.

I saw an estimate of 2K travelling from here.  I can't recall where but sounds reasonable.  Obviously many many more will be there from the local Irish community.

Hopefully get a good few fans travelling over, on top of the ex-Pat population here!

First time posting in about 5 years. In those days there used to be list of people going to away matches. As a bow to the past, and given its our first Women's World Cup ...  I'll start one, and maybe like the old days, the Mods could make it a sticky Wink

But what they do have and no-one can deny this now, they have the finest collection of boilers in the world! And I include Canada in that!

I’m heading down to it. Out through Shanghai and Bangkok so a few days in each of them leaving on the 10th of July and landing in Sydney on the 18th. Will be in touch for a pint! Know of a few heading down, 1/2 others without tickets for the game in Sydney too so if you hear of any let us know!

Yup I'm going too.  Landing in Sydney only on the morning of the Australia match.  Queue the usual query about which Irish pub we're all meeting up in.

Plenty of options in the City, wouldn't be a whole lot out in Homebush.

Unreal. Good on ya heading over. Be some craic, definitely give me a shout before. I’ll be in Sydney from early Thursday morning.

Lads and Lasses, I've just moved to sydney 3 weeks ago and have obviously missed the boat in terms of tickets for the game against Australia here on 20th July. If anyone here's of any spares going for the game I would snap it up, thanks.

What’s the chances he is interviewed by Rte at some stage when over there.  He will be hanging around Tony O’Donoghue like a bad smell.

Molly Malones right beside Central Station is alright, the train will get you out to the ground which is a good spin away.

Mercantile in the Rocks is also good

PJ O Briens in Barangaroo is good and also pretty close to a train station

Landed in Sydney today. Staying by Central Station too. There’s two sports bars beside the station. One is 24 hours. Any other suggestions for meet up? Was shared an Instagram post about PJ O Briens.

Remember watching Ireland v Georgia there in 2009 at around 8am. They wouldn't serve me cos I had been out all night, good spot otherwise! Clap

Arriving Thursday morning, so many people coming from Melbourne. At least 30 i know on my flight i would say. and then every other person i have been chatting to are going on other flights either tomorrow or Thursday day.

What are predictions for the amount of Irish in the stadium, had some people saying 60% Irish, can't see that at all haha. I think 15k, around 20% i wouldn't be surprised at.

The Hero pub has a good trad band on a Sunday if you are still in Sydney, just down from the Mercantile. Actually a mad spot, from what i remember they finish at 10pm on Sunday nights.
