The lowest ever point was Denmark away. Completely different crowd to Wales away the match prior. Would f**king sicken you seeing tickets like gold dust and those with connections conked out on the seats with half the crowd either not knowing the chants or unable to speak.

We need another massive recession, get us back to the fundamentals of cheap flights, cheap hostels, cheep beer and cheap smokes.

I love a kepap

Didn’t see too many addicts but living in a city centre I’m quite used to them at this stage

Yeah we didn't have any issues with junkies or spoke to anyone that did. Found it to be one of the more enjoyable trips actually.

There was a lot of junkies in parts but I think I was only bothered once by one of them looking for money and acting weird. Most were just goofed on the ground escaping their reality

The gyros were class and I've become a fan of zucchini and replacing mayo with a yoghurt sauce after that trip. As for the junkies I've been around Dublin city centre enough to not to put off it anywhere else even Greece. The cats everywhere were more annoying but if the alternative is rats I'll take it.

I assume Athens would be still warm enough in October?

Stayed in the Diros last year for game, it's fine. Close to Metro and handy for all the sites. Couple of dodgy streets are north of Omonia Square, but only really at night. Same as anywhere, just keep your wits about you. If you take a left outside the hotel and walk down street a bit, there's a steak house and restaurant/bar opposite each other off to the left, both decent, friendly spots. Haven't booked this trip yet but would have no bother returning to area.

Athens was a fantastic place imo. Lots to see, decent booze, great food and great weather. Giving it serious consideration on a return visit
