Nice interview. Liked how happy he seemed in the post match interview too, if I were him I'd be resentful I only got 5 minutes with the other attacking players being not the most threatening. LOL

Seems his link to Ireland is much stronger than most of us thought! Must of taken his mothers maiden name as his dad is from Cork! He references coming here a lot as a kid and the fact his great-grand uncle is the famous Cork dual star Brian Murphy!

I thought he should a couple of bright flashes in his little cameo on Tuesday. Definitely one I'd like to see given more time in the summer

Ugghh GAA. We're going to have to watch him parade around hitting a sliotar with a hurl now aren't we? Dead

We are desperate for an advanced midfielder who can recycle possession quickly and keep momentum when we are in the final third. How many times does one of our players pick up a ball in the channel we go backwards and backwards again until either our keeper or centre back has the ball and the opposition are fully resettled.

Hopefully this fella can do it.

Why not play Azaz as a no 8 in midfield three?.

We haven't got a number six good enough to play two attack minded players ahead of him in a midfield three.

Would have liked to seen us play 3-4-2-1 but the two supporting the CF play narrower to create a box midfield with the two sitting midfielders. Ogbene has gotten good plaudits this year playing at WB and would try him at WB.

I think people get too caught up in formations . We can play what ever formation we like it won't change the fact that we don't have any midfielder whether he be an 8 or a 6 to link the defence to the attack.

We have not had such a player since Wes Hoolihan retired .

I think Finn Azaz is the only player in our squad who could play the wes role . I am baffled as to why O' Shea hasn't tried him out there.

Good run and finish, 10th goal of the season that. Not a bad return. Has the most assists of any Irish player in Championship with 7 so far too.

You love making it.

He'd been dropped by his club for a good bit before the last international window. We finally gave Szmodics his debut. Mikey Johnston has been better for West Brom than Azaz has been for Middlesbrough & he had to watch most of it too.

Who would you have dropped for Azaz  ?

(Also it's you're right not your right)

We're crying out for something different in midfield. Would've been nice to see more than a couple of mins of him over two friendlies in fairness.

Glen whelan coach. As if he would recommend playing an attacking midfielder.

Exactly, should have been brought on 20 minutes earlier against the Swiss.

Like Szmodics who played both games?

A centre-half and gone 4-3-3 or something similar.
Was a great opportunity to try it out for situations where we are chasing the game or are the better team against even more minnowy minnows.

I don't need a grammer lesson from you. Your not Ross in Friends. This is not school.

Eh let me see a team crying out for goals leave a creative midfielder on the bench for almost 2 FRIENDLIES. Why bother calling him up then? If you cannot try him out in these games when would you suggest. And your not dropping someone to pick him, your just picking him. Like our players are undroppable anyway.
