I doubt it even makes the news in Mayo with "Mayo 4 Sam" and the upcoming invasion of Roscommon to annex Ballaghaderreen taking up most column inches.

I was reading on the Facebook comments at the time from a lot of Mayo people who were clearly in the know and the general feeling was that they were hated. They were always filing complaints at ever opportunity no matter what they issue was, and they just appeared to be a right pain in the arse and the locals had enough.

The parents set up their own Christian school etc...you know the type.

If one of the students had to be called King Tutankhamun the Greatest he'd probably have had no issue with that.

He doesn't have to use 'ye or they'. He could just called the student by his name like.

He doesn’t even have to do that. He has no interaction with the child

Enoch and the family interrupted the disciplinary hearing by "repeatedly chanted that the chairperson of the board of management should be present at the meeting." LOL

*Reclaim Ballaghaderreen, just to be clear!

The sooner the church and the schools are completely separate the better.

If you want your child to be raised with a religious belief then thats fine ... teach them on your own time and not with my taxes.

While I take your point, I don’t think that’s really the issue here.

I get the impression the mother is the driver and has utilised the home school to bring the kids up in line with her beliefs.

Incidentally, their home school is available to others also if anyone wants to send their kids there (it's actually a big shed next to their house a couple of miles outside Castlebar).
