Listed as a winger on TM anyway. Surprised that he'd be in the squad ahead of Gilsenan. Maybe there's a loan lined up for Gilsenan or something.

Gilsenan isn't playing for their u21s today either. Hopefully a loan then.

Hope Moran comes on today!

It never fails to amaze me how English commentators will go to exceptional lengths to make sure they get name pronunciations of players from all over the world absolutely correct, but they don't bother to do two minutes research for Irish ones.

Tbf, how would we know if they're pronouncing a Congolese/Moroccan etc name exactly right? They could be completely butchering that too
We're decent enough..

They mispronounce Salah’s name every week.

Fair point. As far as I'm concerned if they can pronounce Thierry Henry correctly, they should be able to pronounce Andy Moran, Liam Kinsella, Matt Doherty and Dara Costelloe correctly too. And Mo Salah for that matter.

Anyway Moran was tidy. Decent start for him and a good three points away from home for Blackburn.

Very excited to see how Moran gets on. He was excellent for the U21s vs Iceland and has shone at youth level. As always, senior football is a step up, but it would be great to see him thrive as he is such a good technical player.

Yeah of all the players this is the one I’m most intrigued by as regards how he will do. Blackburn looks perfect for him and getting into the first 11 quite quickly looks achievable. Positive start for him today.

yeah I am also very much looking forward to seeing how this lad gets on. Lots of positive talk about him at underage level. Gone to a good club for his development. Will be difficult to not get carried away, we will need to remember he's young and will have good days and bad days on the pitch!

Andrew Merann came on yesterday but was fairly quiet as the Rovers were dominated by the bruised bananas.  Looking forward to tracking his progress.

Blackburn love an Irish More An. They have been waiting decades for one to come along since Kevin.

The weird thing is that some of the butchered pronunciations of Irish surnames in other countries is closer to the original Gaelic pronunciations. The way they say Moran here in the States is like that.
