Don't think net spend on it's own really tells that much these days. Doesn't tell you what teams are spending on wages. Doesn't tell you if teams are spending more than FFP says they should etc.

Goalposts moved.
It was the be all and end all when Liverpool had good net spend figures a few years ago after the record sale of Coutinho.

The top two on the net spend table for the last five years also have the two highest wage bills in the league:

The total sh*te - The be all and end all was the fact that they used the Coutinho money to buy Allison and VVD who contributed to multiple trophy wins. That's all that matter.

Any articles on who tops the tables for spending money the club didn't generate and then creating false accounts to do so?

Would be interesting to see who tops the inflating how much you're earning or hiding how much you are spending table.

Ah come on now Baggio! Haaland cost €60m in a transfer fee you can guarantee the total package was way beyond that.

Widely reported at the time that it was around £51 million transfer fee and around another £40 million for agents fees and 25 million to his da. Saying he cost 60 is like saying Mancini actually did that consultancy work LOL

Haaland had a release clause which City met.

Great business last summer, him and Alvarez in (£14m) for less than they received for Jesus (£45m) and Sterling (£50m)

Or maybe Alvarez was actually £95m, as City aren't allowed to do good business it seems!

42m or thereabouts from memory

Looks a rare poor signing from Pep, the fact he can’t give Rodri a rest at all is telling
Never rated him despite the fuss about him in euro 2020 (the Yorkshire Pirlo bollocks)
Wouldn’t surprise me if he moves on in summer

Although the details regarding what he was betting on havent been released yet, it seems to be accepted that the bets weren't on games he was involved in. His statement hint at an appeal so wouldn't be surprised to see the ban reduced.
