Anyone claimed the wfh tax credit ? System seems devised to discourage people from applying for it.

What did you expect? I think thats pretty good. Think of all the money you would have saved not having to travel to work as well.

Don't get me wrong, it's better than nothing but real value of it is the taxable amount on that, so only about 2 or 3 euros a week.

You've actually done better than the allowance there, so you might have calculated wrongly.

1800 x 30% x marginal rate can only be €216 at most (higher rate) and assumes you worked from home every day, which is impossible. The most days you work in a year with annual leave and bank holidays is 225, assuming you worked from home all the time , so should then be multiplied by 225 and divided by 365.

Out of that €1800how much extra are you paying towards wfh? Standing charges, broadband etc would all be the same if you were working in an office.

It would damage this forums' reputation

WFH formula seems to be Cost of Bills x days wfh ÷ 365, that figure x 30%, that figure multiplied by your tax rate. So say your bills are 3k and you pay tax at 20%, and wfh 135 days = 3,000 x 135 ÷ 365 = 1,100 × 30% = 330 x 20% = a €66 tax rebate. For 2020 and 2021 only 10% of utility bills were eligible.
