Jesus. Using roughly £4 of gas a day here in the UK and £1.50 electric. €580 for 2 months that's madness.

We pay through level payments, paying the same amount every month which goes up or down once a year. Build up a lot of credit in the summer months which covers the larger bills in the winter. Currently pay €85 per month, although was €115 per month in the summer.

That's with it being used conservatively!

Last bill was 180. Then came the massive price increases and cold snap. Unavoidable really with kids.

Delighted I stayed with oil when getting the new boiler a few years back and didn't bother switching to gas. Had the standing monthly charge gone up to recently?

we've been hammering the gas pretty hard of late but even still between 15 November and 14 December we only spent £2.33 a day on gas for heating and hot water & £2.30 on electricity. Total bill was £145.10 for the month, the UK government reduced it by £67 via Energy Bill Support Scheme, therefore total due for the month = £78.10 or €89.10 at todays FX rate.

€580 for two months is ripping the piss.

an apartment built in 2006. the windows while double glazed aren't in great shape and i had to recently use a bit of duct tape to prevent a draft in the french doors. we have had the gas on quite a bit with a baby in the gaf.

a cousin of mine built a 2000 square foot house in cork two years ago. Has spent €250 on home heating oil in the intervening period. seems new build houses are next level when it comes to insulation.

Same here, it's 130 for gas and 90 for electricity. Haven't seen a cent increase and we are locked in with same payments until February

Make sure to check your P21 and revenue lads.

I logged in today and without doing a thing (apart from confirming personal details for 2022), it says I’m due a fairly nice refund for overpaying tax
