Really enjoyed this trip.
Was there back in 2014 and didnt like it as was too edgy and refused entry into a lot of bars.
This time, stuck to the celtic bars. Grace in town was a great spot. Stayed opened to late and live music to midnight. locals were sound.
went to malones early saturday morning/lunch, but diidnt think much of it f4ckin serving plastic glasses at noon!!. moved to some wee sh1thole for a few and had good craic with the local scruffs.
hit the brazen head for gary og on the saturday afternoon and it was a great sing song. great voice that lad.
scottish supporters on the streets were sound. inside they were giving it loads which added to the atmosphere.
good away end. good singing by us and good game.
afterwards we returned to grace's and it was busy until the band finished.
Really enjoyable weekend and looking forward to the next away! #ybig

I filled it out during week & just got email to say my expenses & compensation were approved. Payment will be in my account within 10 working days.

Yep - Got the same email this morning - Won't believe it until it appears in my account though Wink

Was on the same flight filled in the form but no reply back, going to give them till Monday to reply before ringing them or sending another email.

Our compensation arrived this morning - We all got €250 each .

Ryanair - A great bunch of lads Clap
Was on the flight too, it’s still coming up invalid flight details when I enter it. I email customer services also but no reply yet! Can see them dragging it out

Keep at them buddy Message them publicly on all their social media platforms  !

They actually also randomly emailed me yesterday to say I was being compensated €34 for a flight that was cancelled in March 2020 .

Was that the one that was meant to leave at 12.35pm - and had the boarding gate changed twice in as many minutes? I was on that one so thanks for this. Thumbs Up

Ryanair sent me an email the next day apologising for the delay and asking me to complete a survey. No word of any compensation though. Unhappy

Edit: just tried it but it says the flight was not disrupted - which is absolute BS! It was an hour late leaving the boarding gate and didn't actually take off for at least another 20 minutes after that.
Not enough of a delay there for compensation.

There was an Edinburgh to Dublin flight that was supposed to go at around 7am or so that didn't leave until around 6pm. That'll be delayed one for compensation

Needs to be 2 or 3 hours late arriving for compensation. The flight the lads are talking about was 805am and left about 630pm.

Said we'd go to the the next sh*t hole pub we saw and it did not disappoint. Place called Braemar Bar.

No one else in there, no music or tv. Talking to the barman who must have been a recovering drug addict. Said the pub was home of the Johnny Cash Celtic Supporters Club.

MacKinnons where they let us bring in food from across the road and some characters in there.
On the way back after the match we went to the Star Bar. Place that looked stuck in the 70's. Carpets, wooden paneling and auld wans doing karaoke. Shame it closed at 12.
Not the kind of places you'd want to be going all the time or to bring a date, but perfect for an away trip.

we walked by the Star Bar on the way back ourselves and regretted not going in, Looked like a place that had a few stories to tell!!
Highlight of the trip for me!

I thought the atmosphere was very good and friendly throughout the trip, definitely better than 2014. Even in terms of the police, they seemed a lot more on guard in 2014 whereas Saturday was more jovial. Maybe as the home section was more mixed in 2014.

Had pints with some Scottish guys on Thursday who were lovely. Walked back from Hampden mixed with plenty and ended up in the Scotia Bar just over the bridge. Place was great and rammed with Scots, most of whom were off to Poland on Sunday. Good laugh all round, bar the result obviously which was very hard to take after such a good first half but they softened the blow afterwards and were very . Their main complaint was we didn't join in as much as they wanted with anti English songs during the match!
