Pathetic.

Give one example of any racist post I have ever made?

FYI, quite the opposite.

I am anti war. The destruction of Ukraine is a humanitarian disaster. They have been used by the West to a ridiculous extent. The infrastructure is being destroyed.  The West have made no attempt for peace. None. They have ignored the Minsk agreement totally.

Neo nazis have been used to terrorise Russian speakers for 9 years in the Donbass. Any mention of this? None.

What a World we could have if folk were willing to spend on healthcare what they will spend on military equipment.

As regards power cuts, surely you have noticed a rise in living costs?

And to achieve what? What have the sanctions achieved? Only create further poverty.

Platitudes like ‘I am anti-war’, ‘ I am pro-peace’, what about ‘neutrality’ are so unbelievably transparent at this stage.

It is as such a point that neutrality and peace is important. The US military industrial complex is the primary cause of all these situations.

It is the principle cause of tensions in the Arabic world also.

The aim of the military industrial complex is not to have a successful war but to have a permanent war.

Yeah, but it’s also a fig leaf for people to hide behind when they have an ideological view on a war. It’s no surprise who is on the vanguard of shilling for ‘Peace’, and blaming NATO and the US for Russia’s behaviour. The same peace and neutrality types undoubtedly have strong partisan views on other conflicts and would decry Western Governments for the stances they take. But also would criticise legitimate intervention, and project their own wishes that ideologically similar regimes to their own views have some how been sabotaged, with no interest in the victims of minorities, the sanctity of borders and basic laws concerning invasion.

Give some examples of 'legitimate ' interventions that have been in anyway successful

Vast majority have been ruinous

Balkans being a possible exception albeit NATO bombed the sh*t out of Belgrade.

The Balkans for a start. But you’ve conceded that one. Operation Desert Storm was an effective intervention when Saddam and XI illegally rolled into Kuwait.

Are weapons manufacturers making a fortune from this war? I would image their lobbyists are working hard to get the west to support the war and get russian to continue the war.

Exactly.

And with a downward economy weapons companies are an excellent investment for investment funds.

The World is sick.

And what happens? The West stands idly by as Russia unilaterally redraws the map having used aggressive invasion to get what they want. Simply put, the ‘imperfect peace’ that the twitchy ‘anti-war’ types want is a licence for Russia to use the same aggressive tactics in the future.

Ever notice how "anti-war" people don't care about wars started by Russia/China/North Korea/insert oppressive regime here? Tankies and fascists, right where the ends of the political horseshoe meet.

Any truth to the rumored 500k Russians regrouping and gathering on the Ukraine boarder in prep for an alleged offensive on the 1 year anniversary of the invasion? Seems an absurdly high number.

Fair point. The types of people I'm referring too are usually pro-China with regards to Taiwan. Just generally love authoritarian regimes.

[QUOTE=SeaSharp]Just generally love authoritarian regimes.

But provided those regimes align with their ideology. Putin like Milosevic offers enough for both the far right and far left to jump on the bandwagon. The neutrality and ‘peace’ argument would be noble and truly aspirational, if it wasn’t being used as a fig leaf to cover support.

Probably less than that in reality and calling them troops would be a stretch. 3 to 4 months of training is nowhere near enough to teach combined arms manoeuvres. These guys will join the cannon fodder and sadly be obliterated. For example the US had a fairly well oiled training regime in WWII. It still took them two years to train soldiers to operate as a cohesive unit with other elements e.g. armour and artillery.

On a brighter note I see the tramp who held up the skull of a dead Ukrainian soldier on stage at a gig has himself been killed in Donetsk. Wagner mercenaries are suspected of the execution.

Tibet. Over a million killed since China invaded.
