Always positive when we are talking more about omissions than inclusions!

Danny Rose, Frankie Deane, Justin Osagie, Liam McAlliney, Trent Kone Doherty (maybe)

Can't bring everyone unfortunately

Think Rose might be overage? Deane could count himself a bit unlucky alright.

Yup Rose is also 2003.

Under 19s is for 04s and 05s now.

Oh right cheers. Still mad to see that 18yos are not eligible for a U-19 squad.

It's a silly thing alright going off the January 1st deadline when qualifiers are starting now. Probably just makes it easier but a June 30th deadline to allow those who don't turn 19 or 17 until the second half of the year to play would be better.

Is James McManus of Bohs anywhere near selection for this u19 squad?

Strong looking team named for the Gibraltar game. Curtis, Abankwah, Murphy, Vaughan, Ferizaj, Vata and Zefi all start.

Okagbue is on the bench so hopefully that means that every mention online of him being born in 2003 is wrong...

A very aggressive lineup with Vaughan, Ferizaj, Vatta, Zefi and O'Mahoney all attack-minded midfielders or strikers.

But then it is Gibraltar, so we should put up a big score here.

Lack of stream is disappointing.

Only match that might have a stream might be Wales, and that's if the Welsh FA are streaming their games.

Which they are, so we should get to see that one anyway.
And likely the toughest match too.

Today we just need to get a few goals and cruise to 3 pts and move on.

O'Mahony hatrick and we're suddenly 3-up.

5-0 now, Lonergan & Fraser.
Lonergan missed a penalty too.

Good to see some goals, beating Gibraltar by a high score is basically essential at any level.

Ended 6-0.
O'Mahony hatrick and goals then by Lonergan, Fraser, and Grahan at the death.

Other match ended scoreless, so a perfect start really.

Next up Wales at 13:00 on Saturday and likely that will be streamed by the Welsh FA, as today's match was.

Well done the lads Clap

O'Mahony has never really impressed me when he plays for Cork, but his underage goalscoring record is fantastic.

We're decent enough..
