60k seater stadium so in the slim chance the ban isn’t lifted I’m sure we will be able to buy tickets in the same section

The International ban is also lifted.

Access to the country is allowed for Irish citizens.  They are issuing eVisas. The local Football Federation could decide to ban away fans but my guess is that is highly unlikely.  I don't expect demand for tickets to be high among home or away fans.

We did something similar, was well worth doing, we also stopped at a mosque

The free walking tour of the city is also well worth going on

Lads what EU countries are ye directly  flying back into from Baku  and would there be a requirement for us to get PCR tested in Baku on the way back?

I take it we still have to get PCR tested on the way over even if we're vaccinated?

Flying back into Dublin via Frankfurt and Munich won't be leaving the transfer area so I'd imagine none required.

Obviously late to this, but any ideas for best route over now? Smile Home via Budapest on Monday is a long day but reasonable prices considering. Route over looks a bit more tricky

the tickets range from €1 to €7.50. I wouldn’t be waiting for the FAI allocation.

Not in any rush, sure we'll probably hear from them this week.

Reconsidered the week (well 8 nights) and changed my original Aer Lingus to Budapest to Vienna for free and booked Turkish from Vienna to Baku. Going 6/7th -11th now.
Cost me €195 for the new Turkish flight but saved €95 on the shorter hotel stay. Im sure Ive also saved the rest of what I would have spent on food and drink the extra days I would have been there.
