chelsea's recent performances by and large have been fairly flat. if they turn up like they did in the cup final they could well be in for a battering.

Anyway hope city win despite pep and the owners - always liked them - I think it’s the colour of the kit and 82 cup final. Edit 81

Gundogan as the DM isn’t working at all, he’s on a knife edge now with the yellow
Defence has looked suspect since the start, Chelsea deservedly ahead Citys attacking players aren’t playing well either. Chelsea giving them no space or chances |

Its not happening for City tonight. Not playing well and Chelsea can just run the clock down now.

Kante was absolutely colossal. Had to cut extra pockets to fit all the City midfield players in.
He's an absolute specimen of a man.

Kante is a beast of a player. Is it just me or was he a bit under the radar for the last few years for Chelsea. How does any team with him in it ever cocnede goals?
Mount was very good too, as was Azpilicueta. Decent game, City didn't create anything at all. I'd imagine Pep will be using that game as the argument for breaking the bank of Hallanad or Kane this year.

Chelsea played well. Deserved it. Can’t help thinking Pep gave them a leg up though.

City resorting to long throw ins was pitiful and showed how excellent Chelsea were throughout at neutralising citys creative players. Couid easily have been 2 or 3 nil. Rudigers challenge on KDB shows they were prepared to go to the limit to win.

At city Kane will be just another player - would be phased and will score loads of goals but not sure he’ll improve them in the long term. The intensity in tonight’s game was incredible but Watching de bryune going off was sad. The top players are being flogged to bits.

Two predictions:-
1. English tabloids will be running articles about Chelsea’s Champions League victory is partially Frank Lampard’s credit. 2. “No surrender to the IRA” chants ringing around Windsor Park during the Super Cup.
